My family and I moved from Pakistan in 1998 to help direct a ministry and student organization at the University of South Alabama known as Friends of Internationals. Our vision was to create a “Home away from Home” for the international students attending the University of South Alabama and other local campuses. Over the years we have also reached out to the refugee community and others internationals who have moved to live and work in Mobile. Our vision flows from the Biblical vision of Revelations chapter 5 and verse 9 that one day people representing every tribe, tongue and nation will be with God and one another. We are all about creating diverse community that looks like “Heaven on Earth!”
